Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhar Reddy formally landed on the helipad yesterday after attending a function in the neighbouring Ranga Reddy district.
"It will help in drastically reducing Chief Minister's travel time besides causing little or no inconvenience to the general public as traffic need not be stopped for VVIP movement," sources in the Chief Minister's Office said here.
The short drive from Reddy's Begumpet residence to Secretariat is being managed with minimum regulations by the traffic police as per his direction to avoid inconvenience to the people, they said.
