Greater Hyderabad bill

Minister for Information,Public Relations, Energy and Incharge Minister for Hyderabad city Mohd. Shabbir Ali said that the Bill for the creation of Greater Hyderabad city will be introduced in this Assembly session.

Informing this to news men at Secretariate, here today , Mohd. Shabbir Ali said that the Greater Hyderabad will have more advantages as it will become the No. 1 city in the country, facilities such as drinking water for 24 hours, wider roads, investment from the Industrialist will come.

He said as part of the programme for giving 24 hours drinking water supply the government has started supply water from Adikmet to Asmangad on trial basis and the 2nd phase of diverting Krishna water to Hyderabad city with Rs. 182 crores already started.

He said the irrigation projects on river Godavari,Yellampalli and Srisailam is in full swing, permission was given for laying the sewerage line with Rs. 150 crores from Mangalhat to Mahatma Gandhi Nagar.

He said with Rs. 100 crores Hi-Tech city 8 lanes road will be starting, railway line from Kukatpally to Hi-Tech city with Rs. 27 crores will be starting. He said out of the 142 roads work, 50 roads works has been completed, construction work of flyovers bridges in Chandrayangutta and Nalgonda is going on, and the issuing of ration cards will be starting from January 1.

The minister said that there is no proposal to take the land under road widening programme of Majid, dargah, chillas, temples and churches. However, he said that all party meeting will be convened and discussions will made with the priests on this issue.
