Natco's blood cancer drug

Natco Pharma Ltd, the Hyderabad based drug company has set out its product, 'Alphalan' used for treating blood cancer. The cytotoxic drug, Alphalan, will be available in packs of 25 tablets each, in both 2 mg and 5 mg forms.

Alphalan is the only Indian product available in the market for the treatment of Multiple Myeloma, a form of blood cancer that affects the plasma cell. The malignant plasma cells accumulate and damage the bone marrow in the spine, pelvis, rib cage and skull of the affected persons.
