Talking to newspersons here today, Overseas Indian Affairs Ministry Secretary S Krishna Kumar said the remittance would be completed within 24 hours under the new scheme under which a NRI could send his money to any bank of his choice anywhere in the country. India was world's highest receiver of remittances, he informed.
The necessary networking for the International gateway was ready and it would become operational from the day was launched.
