Kachiguda station upgrades

The Hyderabad Division of the South Central Railway has proposed to construct a second entrance at Kachiguda railway station in view of the increasing passenger flow. It also plans to increase the number of platforms.

The second entrance will come up on the APSRTC Quarters side making it convenient for the residents of Malakpet, L.B. Nagar, Dilshukhnagar, Ramanthapur and surrounding areas to reach the station and more importantly, reduce traffic congestion on the Kacheguda and Barkatpura roads.

Kachiguda station now has one platform, one island platform and two pit lines while a third pit line is expected to be completed by June. Three more platforms including pit lines are to be constructed supplemented by one foot overbridge. As many as 88 trains ply daily from the Kachiguda station.
