"With the disposable incomes of the middle class rising, the number of existing and potential passengers for each aircraft in Indian aviation sector is huge," said Rahul Bhatia, managing director of InterGlobe Enterprises said while announcing the launch.
IndiGo will serve Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Guwahati, Imphal, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune with its first four aircraft.
In addition to the first aircraft being introduced in July, IndiGo will introduce a new A320-232 aircraft every month during the year, Bhatia said.
