800 new buses for city

The city zone of RTC is planning to introduce 800 new buses this year.

Speaking at a phone-in-programme here on Sunday, city zone Chairman K. Sanjeeva Reddy said that 480 buses were introduced in 2006-07. He said 450 more buses were to be added to strengthen the fleet under the Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission scheme, according to a press release.
