The announcement was made today by Suresh Vaswani, President Wipro Infotech & Global IT Service Lines, and Ravi Venkatesan, chairman of Microsoft India, at the Microsoft Executive Partner Summit (EPS) held in Mumbai. The EPS, an annual event, provides a platform for Indian offshore System Integrators to better align with Microsoft around its technologies and deliver solutions that help enterprise business customers lead in their markets around the world. This MOU evolved from Wipro''s work with Microsoft IT-India, an extension of the Microsoft IT team developing mission-critical enterprise applications that support Microsoft''s business worldwide. Microsoft IT-India also runs the IT infrastructure operations for the enterprise 24x7 from its Network Operations Center in Hyderabad. The relationship will allow Wipro access to Microsoft''s best practices in the areas of infrastructure management and deployment of business technologies related to the use of Microsoft Operations Manager and Microsoft Systems Management software. That in turn will enable Wipro to improve the productivity and efficiency of the IT infrastructure operations on behalf of its outsourcing customers.
