Editor : Hyderabad 1800
Well History has always amazed me and when I stumbled upon these great images of Hyderabad from the 1800s I was left spell-bound. I wanted to share this with all the readers of the Times. Discover these treasures for yourself…
Charminar 1800

Hussain Sagar - 1800s - as seen from Saifabad

Well rest of these treasures are tucked away here in a collection called Svadesh videsh: home from home by The British Library. All you need to do is go there type in Hyderabad in the search box provided on the top right corner and take a journey back in time.

Good job!
Excellent. Thanks
There are a few more good photos in the lounge of Paradise Hotel which you can enjoy after a nice Hyderabadi Biryani. One can see the Musi flowing in absolute glory in these pictures
Nice….Hyderabad looks beautiful and peaceful. My heart cried when I saw the Bashirbagh palace photo….look at what it is today! A flyover, an encroached temple a mess!
great job
need more of this kind of articles
I wish time rolls back to that era (not sure the social conditions) but at least fresh air and green environment.
Charminar and surrounding area looks like young bride.
